· Sports and Activities Information:

· Physicals:
All students participating in a sport are required to have a physical on file for the current school year (must be completed after May 1 of the previous school year).  Contact our Activities Director, Warren Watson, at 379-5880 or watsonw@usd450.net 

· Sports Fee:  
Any student involved in a sport must pay a one-time participation fee of $35 per year.  This fee will be applied to uniform replacement costs.

· Activity Pass:
Student Activity Pass
$24 Includes all athletic events and activities (does not include tournaments or dances).
Single Adult Pass
$50 Includes all athletic events (does not include tournaments or plays).
Family Adult Pass
$100 Includes all athletic events (does not include tournaments or plays); Immediate family only (Special Note: only 4 passes will be distributed per family unless special arrangements are made through Warren Watson).
Golden Pass

· Attendance:
--All attendance will be handled through the main office, 379-5860.  Students must check in/out through this office before leaving or when arriving late to school.  Any time your son/daughter is absent, please notify the office at 379-5860.
--If your son or daughter is absent for three consecutive days or longer, please contact Debbie Morris at 379-5880 to request homework.
--If your son or daughter is absent for less than three days and you would like to get their homework, please feel free to contact their teacher at 379-5880 or go to  http://www.usd450.net/SHHigh.cfm and click on teacher webpages. 
--For all pre-arranged absences, the student is responsible for getting their homework from the teacher.

· Counseling Services:

To contact our counseling office, please call 379-5880.  Our counselors will be happy to answer any questions you have or assist you with any concerns you have regarding your student.

· Security/Driving:
We have a full time School Resource Officer at Shawnee Heights High School.  In addition, we have a number of security cameras located throughout the building to ensure that our school is a safe place.  If you have any problems or concerns regarding security and your son or daughter, please contact Officer Rusty Berry at 379-5880 or berryr@usd450.net.  We also have several officers present at school activities (football, basketball, etc.).

All students at Shawnee Heights High School who drive to school are required to have a parking pass.  Parking passes can be purchased for $2 at the time of enrollment or at any time throughout the year.  A permit may be purchased after enrollment at the bookkeeping window.  

Shawnee Heights High School has a program to promote safe driving by all of our students.  It is called T-Bird Drive Safe Program.  If you witness a student violating the “rules of the road”, please report them to Officer Berry at 379-5880.  Officer Berry will then work with the student to correct the driving concern.  This program has been sanctioned by the Shawnee Heights High School Site Council.

· Transportation:

To start/stop/change bus transportation for your son/daughter, contact Debbie Morris in the main office at 379-5880.  For general transportation questions or concerns, call Jafawn Burghart at 379-5820.
