The primary focus of the school counselor is the welfare of all students. If a student needs help with a problem, either school related or personal, he/she is encouraged to make an appointment with the guidance office secretary or fill out a pass to the guidance office and have a core or elective classroom teacher sign it.

The counselors provide services which include individual and small group sessions;consulting with parents, teachers, and administrators; pre-enrollment and enrollment of new students; scheduling; classroom guidance; orientation of new students; transition; student mediation and support; and facilitation of Reaching New Heights.
