Substitute pay is now $100.00 for a full day of substitute teaching and $55.00 for a half-day of substitute teaching.
NOTE: Long-Term Substitute pay is: First ten (10) consecutive teaching days, the pay rate is $100.00 for a full day. On the 11th day, the pay rate is $130.00 for a full day, for the duration of the long-term assignment. This is only when substituting in the same position for the same teacher.
To be a substitute for Shawnee Heights you must first apply on our job board - New Substitute Apply Here
Then turn in the following forms, your teaching license and TB test results to the Central Office New Substitute Forms.
Next we will submit your name to the Board of Education which meets the first and third Monday of every month.
SEMS System:

After registering, you will be able to use the internet to Job Shop or Change Preferences - SEMS Website - How to Change Preferences
Each year you must update the Substitute Information Sheet.
Each year you must be approved by the Board of Education in the summer to work the upcoming school year – a reminder letter will be mailed out late June.
Shawnee Heights USD 450 payroll is processed once a month. The pay period begins on the 16th of the month and goes through the 15th of the following month.
Checks will be direct deposited to your bank account the last business day of the month and your pay stub will be emailed to you. (The PIN to access your pay stub will be the last 4 digits of your social security number unless payroll assigns you a different PIN.)
