This Thursday (4/21), Friday (4/22), and Saturday (4/23) at 7pm, the SHHS Drama Department presents two one-act comedies – Cut! and The Rules of Comedy. Purchase tickets at the door for $5 per ticket ( free for Golden Age Passes and students with activity passes.)

Thank you to KDHE for providing us with the Waste Tire Grant to replace all the wood mulch in the TSouth playground with recycled rubber mulch. It took 170 thousand pounds of recycled tires to complete the project! #KeepItCleanKansas

Come support our Shawnee Heights Band! The Band Booster is hosting a Food Truck Fundraiser next Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 5pm - 8pm.


The BFA (Balloon Federation of America) hosted the "The 2022 BFA National Convention Art Contest". SHMS students created hot air balloon themed art projects. Congratulations to Ruby Shrock (1st place), Ash Kibler-Deyoe (2nd place), and Yoselynne Valtierra Flores (3rd place)!




The 7th and 8th grade bands had a successful trip to the Washburn Rural Band Festival. The 7th grade band received a II+ rating (Excellent), and the 8th grade band received a I- rating (Superior). Awesome job!



Learning is FUN! Students work together as they complete a mining activity in Mrs. Borjon's class.

This week is a short week! No snow days are needed to be made up. Friday, April 15, 2022 and Monday April 18, 2022 are no school days for students. Teachers will have professional development on Monday.


Ms. Dinkel and other 2022 KTOY nominees had a chance to tour each other's districts this spring. This week Ms. Dinkel, Elementary Semifinalist, showcased many of the great qualities of our Shawnee Heights district!

Thank you to all our community volunteers that helped us with our MS Future U activity! Students rotated between Reality U, Career Speakers, Transitions, and Financial U sessions where they learned about financial planning and experienced mock scenarios from young-adult life.
