The finishing touches are being done to our football field! SHHS will be hosting Seaman, Highland Park, and Washburn Rural tomorrow, Friday August 30th starting at 6:30 p.m. for our first football jamboree. Admission is one non-perishable food item.
It was Club Fair day! This event is a great opportunity for students to get involved in an activity they are interested in.
Congratulations to all students who participated in the 2018-2019 KSHSAA 5A State Competitions. The Board of Education recognized these students during last nights board meeting.

Teachers participated in 3 days of PBL 101 Training through the Buck Institute this week. They learned how to design project based learning experiences for students in order to help prepare them to be critical thinkers and problem solvers.

The Kansas Supreme Court Law Library will have on display the Magna Carta traveling exhibit from July 15 through July 31,2019 at 301 SW 10th Ave, Topeka KS. This exhibit is open to anyone between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Learn more at: https://youtu.be/Ymt7SE27wcY
We are in need of individuals who would be willing to help impact student lives when the regular classroom teacher is absent. There is more than one way to qualify as a substitute teacher. You qualify if you hold a Kansas teaching license, have a college degree, or have at least 60 college credit hours. Substitute teachers are paid $100 per day. It was a fun day at the splash park celebrating the last day of school!
Shawnee Heights Alumni, Trisa Nickoley, will be inducted tonight into the Topeka Shawnee County Sports Hall of Fame! Nickoley earned 17 5A state championships in cross county and track and has never lost an individual race in state competition. Read More:http://bit.ly/2X6anJ7
